Yet Another Double podium
Saturday
Amazingly another dry day was instore for the race, this course is one of the most fun short courses you can get. Cearsws doesn't have the biggest hill in Wales by a long stretch, but by christ they've made the most of it....more lines than a drug dealer on a night out.

Stefan Gleed, Paul May, and Phil Mowatt represented the teams interests and there was nothing but good news after the first run......Stef, Paul (Gummy), and Phil were all in podium positions after everyone had taken their first bite of the cherry, Phil couldn't help dreaming about rain for the second runs to leave the standings the same, unfortunately the rain god was not listening this time.....typical. After the second runs Stef and Paul managed to consolidate their 1st run positions as they pulled off another fantastic double podium, great news for the team. This time Gummy took 2nd and Stef took 3rd with both having good clean runs. Gummy managed to take 2 seconds off Stef's time to leave the battle scores at 2-1 to Gummy. Phil took 2 seconds off his first run time but was unlucky to drop some places from 3rd to 7th as others sneaked in front. All said and done this was still Phil's best result so far since his return to racing this year, exceptional considering he mullered himself on his very first practice run down. Mark my words......"he's a comin"

Sunday
The Sunday's race was on the same course which meant the times were going to be faster and riders were going to be pushing hard, this produced a mixed bag of results for the team. Paul had a reasonable 1st run run and was lying in 2nd, however, Stef went over the bars and went down hard on a steep off camber section making a mess of his ankle and knee, this saw him sensibly sit out the 2nd run leaving him with no recorded time for the day. Phil's consistent riding meant he again improved by taking another 2 seconds off Saturdays race time.

Phil airbourne

The 2nd runs came and Gummy's usual super consistency betrayed him as he downed it in the finishing arena, he was on it to try to steal 1st from Paul French but this mistake would ruin his 2nd run, this left him in 2nd overall for the day and yet another podium, he's going to need an bloody extention for all those trophies! Phil took another second off his 1st run time to finish the day in 9th in Seniors, a good consistent weekends riding left him stoked, keep it rubber side down geezer.

......and again

So that's it for another weekends racing, 3 podium positions and some positive signs for Phil's future, the next race is the NPS at Moelfre Hall in 3 weeks....this will hopefully be my re-habilitation race to test out the leg so see you there.
